Research

12Sandplay and imaginative storytelling is a therapeutic method for students who have disabilities such as poor learning skills or attention and/or emotional problems. In each participating country 4 pupils came to 12 sessions each year. Implementation in all 3 countries run by 3 sandplay specialists and as a part of a comparative research project. Battery of standardized tests and scales administrated by a psychologist in the beginning and at the end of the project.

Here is an example of a checklist used in the research to help keep trach of the proceeding of the research process. 

The 3 sandplay therapists, Kristin Unnsteinsdottir, Simona Danciu, Siobhan Whyte, met regularly on Skype meetings for case consultation with Dr. Barbara Turner sandplay therapist.
